I believe you can change. And I believe you can overcome your circumstances. Our lives start with an incomplete personality. Shaped by a less than ideal environment, we often get stuck in patterns of behavior, coping strategies, or personality styles that cause us emotional and psychological pain. By taking a look at where you came from, searching out usable handholds through empirically tested interventions, and being responsible to your part in your personal growth, I believe you can recover from the depressions, anxieties, obsessions, or addictions that beset you.
I specialize in helping men overcome sexual compulsion and addiction. Using motivational strategies, cognitive and cognitive-behavioral tools, group work, and spiritual development, I help men redefine themselves as an individual and as a responsible member of society.
I started working with men experiencing sexual compulsion in 2004 and am interning in the Certified Clinical Sexual Addiction Specialist program through the International Association of Certified Sexual Addiction Specialists (IACCSAS). Member: SASH, AACC, ACA, MHAFC. I am open daytimes, evenings and for occasional Saturday appointments.

When we lose control of our sexual behavior, emotional and psychological devastation can follow quickly behind. So, this men's group begins by helping men evaluate how their sexual behavior obscures values, hopes, and dreams. Dr. Patrick Carnes defined sex addiction in the early 1980s with his groundbreaking work, Out of the Shadows. There he says a sex addict is "someone who uses any sexual activity to alter his or her emotional state and has lost the ability to control this behavior." This group will help you claim control in your sexual life.
