“Are you feeling anxious or depressed? Are you having trouble adjusting to a life situation or having problems in a relationship? Often these issues resolve themselves over time, but, when they don't, you may wish to reach out to someone who can help you understand what you are going through. Psychotherapy can be described as a journey of self-discovery. My role, as your guide, is to enhance this journey by providing feedback, without judgment, and by creating a supportive environment that is safe for your explorations. I invite you to take this journey with me.

During this process, feelings and unconscious motives leading to unproductive patterns of behavior are uncovered. By understanding these unconscious motives, we can learn to respond to instead of react to our environment. Changing just one mind-set, changes what you believe about yourself, which changes your behavior, which changes how you feel.

Goals of therapy include understanding: how your feelings are connected to your past and your past is connected to your present; how your current behavior affects how you feel; how and why you make decisions. Because with awareness comes knowingness; with knowingness comes choice; with choice comes personal power.”
