I am a client centered EMDR therapist. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a powerful psychological method for treating experiencially based disorders and emotional difficulties that are caused by disturbing life experiences.EMDR is a scientifically based psychotherapy. What is clear to researchers is that present-day occurrences can restimulate negative thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations arising from earlier experiences that continue to be a source of upset for the client. EMDR can change the association of those incidents, greatly decreasing the current distress about both past and present events.

I treat a variety of diagnoses including PTSD (vicitms of war, terrorism, sexual assualt, medical trauma), depression, anxiety, bereavement, and many other issues which color present perceptions and lead to unhappiness and inappropriate behaviors in the present.

My office is centrally located in the heart of Canton in the historic Atlantic Broom Building. Clients are welcome to bring their dogs to therapy.
