Therapy is a collaborative process between patients (couples, parents, individuals, teens and children) and the therapist. Treatment will attempt to help your family process those struggles and move through them so you will be able to handle things that arise in the future. Combining compassion and common sense with formal training and experience is the most effective way to help patients deal with challenges they are facing. Therapy should help change come about in the very first session. Of course, problems are not solved immediately, but every meeting should bring new possibilities and hope for change that will last.

I offer an atmosphere where each person or family has a chance to be heard as they tell their stories from their perspective. I have a practical, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental approach to finding solutions. We use proven evidence-based interventions, working at a pace the client feels comfortable.

Specialties: sexual abuse survivors, alcoholism, addiction and their partners, court mandated and working with parents and teens.
