I take a non-judgmental, empathic, compassionate, and insight-oriented approach to therapy. Current research, as well as my experience and training help me to determine the treatment strategies from psychodynamic, relational, humanistic, existential, cognitive and behavioral approaches that will be most effective in addressing your concerns. I work to create a supportive environment that facilitates reflectiveness, creativity and that helps you increase insight into your present struggles. I believe that your view of yourself and the issues that have lead to their seeking therapy are influenced by your unique life experiences.

I treat people, not diagnoses. I work to help my clients develop solutions that fit with them as unique individuals. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping my clients develop a greater sense of self-efficacy so they no longer feel that they need to meet with me.

It is difficult to open up and share your struggles with another person. Developing trust and a sense of safety is a process. I respect that you will share what you deem necessary for our work together in a manner and within a timeframe that is comfortable for you.
