In practice, I use multiple theoretical perspectives to encourage growth through learning, challenging beliefs, trusting yourself, and skill building. Utilizing CBT, I teach mindfulness, self-esteem, and coping skills. Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused therapy help develop advanced skills with intimacy, communication, and conflict resolution. I have advanced training in Facilitative leadership and Supervision and have extended my practice into the arenas of Job coaching and Life Coaching
I help couple's examine family of origin and attachment theory on their current expectations and availability for emotional connection. In my work with addictions; substance, eating, provide a non-judgmental framework and teach emotion regulation coping skills, education around triggers, supports, impulses, relapse prevention, and provide family treatment.
Each person is not a diagnosis but an individual with their own story, their own history, their own understandings and beliefs. I have 20 years worth of experience working with dual diagnosis. I have also extended my skills into life coaching and strategic planning consulting. Mentoring leadership and job coaching as part of my practice.
