Tony Davis

Marriage & Family Therapist Intern, MA

(323) 405-3230
I am curious why we do the things we do, and why we do things that hurt us and hurt others. I help clients develop their own curiosity about their lives. I guide them using collaboration, to identify for themselves choices that better serve their goals and desires. I charge $75 for a 50 minute session. I am an active therapist, utilizing postmodern ideas in collaborative process that "deconstructs" beliefs and put you in a position to decide what is of value to you and what you would like to let go of. Therapy occurs through open dialogue.
Artists, Writers, Freethinkers, Intellectuals, Skeptics, Iconoclasts, Questioners, Non-Conformists, Beatniks! All are welcome in my practice. I work with unique individuals and couples who are willing to look at beliefs that may be getting in the way of goals, desires, happiness, and social comfort. Specialize with gay couples.
I spent my early adult life as a working dancer/actor/singer. My stage experience allows me to understand the pain of "big ego, low self-esteem" that haunts many performers. As a full time bicycle rider, I am comfortable outside the box, and understand oppression and "not fitting in".
