Are you looking for a helping hand through divorce, or other trauma, or are you struggling with feelings of uncertainty, general unhappiness, depression, or lower than ideal self-esteem? Together, we can look at strengths, look at what is not going the way you would like it to go, and strategize a plan for making things better. If you have experienced trauma - whether from a car accident, an assault, or abuse as a child, then I definitely have skills in helping to reduce ongoing negative effects of these experiences, primarily using a technique called EMDR, as well as other strategies.
I have more than 30 years experience working with families going through separation and divorce. I do mediation as well as counselling, and help all family members through this difficult adjustment. I use EMDR to help reduce disturbing effects of life incidents, or enhance performance, and CBT for depression.
For more than 12 years I have been working extensively with those dealing with the effects of difficult childhoods, whether due to bullying or other kinds of abuse. Additionally, my work focuses on improving relationships with partners, children, work associates or self. I work individually or in groups with depression.
