Patients typically seek me out because they have been struggling (usually for FAR too long) with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or work-related difficulties. They may also come in for help with more recent stress, grief or loss. My therapeutic style is much more interactive and direct than passive or neutral, and I work very hard to help my patients progress toward their goals as quickly as possible. I employ treatment methods that are supported by the latest research findings, as appropriate. I welcome the opportunity to work with patients of diverse races, religious and ethnic backgrounds, and sexual orientations.

On a technical level, I most commonly operate from Cognitive-Behavioral and Object Relations perspectives. Simply put, I utilize these approaches to 1) help you understand how you got to where you are, and 2) help you get to where you want to be. Visit my website at www.drschultz.org.

As a mental health consumer, you DESERVE to be treated with effective, research-supported techniques. These methods should make sense to you, and provide a clear path toward your goals. If you are not getting this type of treatment, and are not making progress, please find a new therapist.
