Do you feel stuck in patterns that lead to stress, conflict, and/or withdrawal from life? Are you struggling with anger, fear, or sadness? Are you dissatisfied with life and don't know why? There is hope for a better life. Having the courage to admit that things aren't going well is the first step to changing them. I have helped many people to find greater freedom from self-limiting patterns and move toward happier lives. I work with: grief, trauma, stress, anxiety,addictions,obsessions/compulsions, attention and impulse control, relationship distress, parenting, and spiritual growth.

Some of the approaches I use include: cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, narrative therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing(EMDR), scientifically based relationship therapy, mindfulness-based body centered therapy, and mindfulness meditation. I have extensive experience providing supervision to therapists. I meet the requirements for supervising LCSW and LPC candidates.

I am a seasoned therapist providing therapy services in Portland since 1990. My approach to therapy is collaborative, interactive, and goal directed. I work to help you clarify your goals and reach the personal change you want to achieve.
