Ms. Valerie Jean Elsbree

I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and I am a Certified Addictions Professional. I have 20+ years of experience in the therapy field, providing counseling to adults and adolescents through individual, couples, family and group modalities. Our culturally diverse Counseling Center provides therapeutic services to all men, women and adolescents from all walks of life. One of my goals during the therapy process is to provide a confidential and nurturing environment so my clients feel comfortable exploring areas of their lives that may be causing them emotional, mental, or sexual pain or distress.

My specialties include; Couples and Family Counseling, Addictions,Eating Disorders (Bulimia, Anorexia, Compulsive Overeating, Bingeing/Purging), Co-Dependency (setting limits with people, unresolved family of origin issues, child-within work), Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Domestic Violence and Trauma (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy offered for past Childhood Abuses and Rape).

I am a writer and have recently published a book on Eating Disorders with the foreword by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. One of my expertises is working with people who have addictions and I have a question/answer column in a national addictions magazine entitled: It's All In The Journey.
