Dr. Jennifer Horn

“"Children do well if they can, and it is our job to help them do so." My work with children and families is guided by this statement. I seek to support the families in their efforts to improve their child"s well-being. For two decades, I have specialized in helping families meet the educational, social, and behavioral needs of their children, particularly those children experiencing anxiety/depression, social problems, academic difficulties, and acting-out problems at home and school. I work exclusively with children and adolescents, and my training was in Clinical-Child Psychology from Southern Illinois University.

My areas of specialty include Autism spectrum, ADHD/ADD, Anxiety, Learning difficulties, Depression, Parent-child problems, and Developmental disorders such as mental retardation and FAS/FAE. I also specialize in psychological testing to help with diagnostic issues and educational planning.

I utilize psychological testing when diagnostic issues need to be clarified, particularly when school support is necessary to help the child reach their fullest potential academically. I regularly coordinate with the child"s school, family, physician, and any other professionals that may be working with the child.”
