Ms. Linda J Kalman
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MA, MSW, PSW
Office
Montreal, QuebecCanada H9A 1E5
“I am an experienced, clinical social worker/therapist with a diverse private practice in the West Island area of Montreal. I see individuals, couples, families, and groups and work with clients of all ages. I also offer therapy through play with children. Rather than having one set therapeutic modality, I prefer to join with the clients where they see themselves. We can then work together in dynamic therapeutic ways meant to meet individual and specific needs.
I see many clients with relationship issues that may include attachment or communication problems, seperation or divorce. I also deal with behavior concerns, chronic illness, and addictions. I specialize in working with those who are grieving both death and non-death losses, as well as working with family members, specifically adult children, of the mentally ill.
My work is consistent and committed to the client. Humour and empathy are a large part of who I am and how I work. I will not waste your time or your money. I will help you to find the peace of mind you deserve.”

Was your mother or father emotionally ill? Was your childhood chaotic and painful? Whether your parent was diagnosed with a specific mental illness or not, being raised in such an environment has a strong negative impact on a child's emotional development. Adult children of Mentally Ill Parents deal with specific issues as patterns of the past ultimately get repeated. If you have problems with boundaries, relationships, anger or fear, a specifically trained, experienced therapist can help you heal the pain.
