Are you in transition around your job or relationship? Although often difficult, periods of change can offer opportunities to bring your life more in alignment with what is truly authentic and fulfilling for you. Relationship problems? I assist traditional, alternative + queer couples to develop better communications skills and overcome blocks to sex, intimacy, trust. Food + weight struggles? As Director of the Eating Disorders Program at Community Institute of Psychotherapy (San Rafael), I advocate a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. I also work with trauma/ abuse survivors using EMDR and somatic (body mindfulness) psychotherapy techniques with a high effectiveness rating.

I combine an eclectic approach using the latest discoveries in neuroscience combined with powerful and effective developments in couples research. Learn how to get out of stuck places and reactive arguments faster. Learn communication skills that move beyond right or wrong to a place of emotional understanding.

As a somatically trained psychotherapist and former yoga teacher, one of the ways I can assist you to make lasting changes is to foster body mindfulness. I use somatic psychotherapies such as Hakomi and Somatic Experiencing to facilitate transitions and shifts that last. These approaches do not use touch.
