There are times in our lives when we feel stuck, sometimes hopeless. We face problems in living that seem impossible to overcome. Sometimes these problems are internal struggles within ourselves. Other times, these problems are interpersonal struggles with others such as our spouses or significant others, our children, and other loved ones. Whatever the presenting issue may be, my goal is to assist you in finding hope and confidence within yourself to choose and apply positive, effective solutions to the problems that lie in your path.
With over 10 years of experience in the field, I have helped clients with a wide range of presenting problems including self-harm behaviors, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, behavioral problems, ADHD, trauma, issues surrounding divorce and grief/loss issues. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, but see adults in my practice too.
Through the years, I have come to value the uniqueness of each individual. Although I often tend to utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques in my practice, I am eclectic in my approach. With all of my clients, I utilize distinct interventions to help them actualize their potential and achieve their goals.

This group is designed for children ages 5-10 who need support in dealing with issues related to ADHD and/or a Pervasive Developmental Disorder (such as Asperger's Disorder). The group utilizes play therapy, art therapy, and bibliotherapy to provide outlets in which the children can express their thoughts, feelings, and frustrations. Through the group process, the children also learn appropriate social skills, impulse control skills, and anger management techniques. Self-esteem building activities are also incorporated. The children not only learn necessary life skills, but they also form positive relationships with their peers.
