“I am clinical psychologist and a member of the Order of Psychologist of Quebec. I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at McGill University. I am fully bilingual in English and French. Over the years, I have acquired therapy experience with children, adolescents and adults. My main theoretical approach is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) but I also draw on different techniques depending on the need of my clients. I also offer family therapy following mainly a systemic approach. I provide support and guidance and teach tools to help achieve your goals and attain a greater sense of well-being.
CBT is a scientifically-based psychotherapy focusing on the impacts of thoughts and behaviors on feelings. It is a goal-oriented time-limited therapy that emphasizes collaboration and active participation. Systemic family therapy aims at changing maladaptive interaction patterns within family members.
Family therapy is helpful when conflicts arise and in times of transitions in a family life cycle (birth, adolescence, divorce, etc.). I lead parenting groups and work with families with children with behavioral difficulties (opposition, refusing to sleep alone, etc.).”
