“Have you tried to reason with yourself, but keep getting the same results? You already have what it takes to get more satisfaction out of life. Counseling can help you find purpose, leading to improved confidence and relationships. I help people who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, low self-esteem, grief, and adjustment to new situations. I especially enjoy working with young adults in their twenties, and people who strive to be their best selves.

Caring for yourself on the inside, is as important as care on the outside. Your feelings serve a purpose, by letting you know that something is calling for your attention. I enjoy working with clients to discover their inner wisdom, and unfold their potential.

It is natural to feel depressed or anxious at times. You do not need a special vocabulary, diagnosis, or be in a crisis to benefit from counseling. Seeing a counselor is not a sign of weakness, but rather a mark of character showing your desire to thrive in your life.”

Michelle Bales also hosts the following groups:

Adult Children of Narcissistic Parents
1200 6th Ave, Suite 2001, Seattle, Washington
$30 - $40 per session

This group is designed for adults who grew up with a self absorbed parent. These adults tend to struggle with self-esteem, trust in relationships, and depression. There is often confusion about their upbringing, because the narcissistic parent's behaviors were covert and appeared healthy to others.
Motherless Daughters
1200 6th Ave, Suite 2001, Seattle, Washington
$30 - $40 per session

The focus of this group is on the unique grieving process of losing a mother, from a female's perspective. A mother symbolizes a real (or percieved) sense of home, nurturance, and safety. Developmental challenges are faced when a woman loses her mother, no matter what their relationship was like.
Surviving Your Twenties
1200 6th Ave, Suite 2001, Seattle, Washington
$20 - $30 per session

This group addressed the developing needs of young adults in their twenties. This time is often as difficult, or more difficult than puberty, as youth launch into adulthood. Managing expectations, jobs, relationships, finances, and individuality are of primary focus.
