Get Well. Be Well. Stay Well. Is seeking therapy a confusing or scary process for you? It can be difficult to sort through a list professionals, who are essentially strangers, to share your private thoughts and feelings about a difficult period of your life. During your first few appointments, I will conduct a comprehensive assessment to make sure that I understand the full picture of your life, and you will learn valuable skills to help you cope better. My clients would tell you that they leave their sessions feeling understood, satisfied, inspired, and ready to conquer their problems.
I believe that most people can overcome stressors and significantly change how they manage their emotional (and physical) responses to stress. This change has an important effect in how they function in their personal and professional relationships. Mindfulness and skill enhancement are two key aspects of my non-judgmental approach.
Until 2007, I held a six-year clinical position with UCSD-Outpatient Psychiatric Services, where I treated numerous people from culturally diverse backgrounds and trained and supervised interns from our local graduate programs. Please know that you will be working with a clinician with a quality clinical background since 1998.
