My supportive and thoughtful approach to psychotherapy involves helping clients to take a look at themselves and their choices to determine whether their personal styles are working for them. In this way, clients become more aware of how they relate to others and how to make healthy choices to reduce and better manage stress, improve mood, and enhance relationships. Identifying maladaptive patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, and making changes in those patterns, helps people to live more rewarding and satisfying lives. Therapy is a process in which people learn to live more adaptively and to enjoy increased personal fulfillment.
Although I consider myself a generalist, I work with individuals, groups, couples, families, adults, and adolescents. Much of my practice involves people struggling with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, life-stage issues, sexuality, and interpersonal problems. I am located between Route 33 (Getty station) and Nottingham Way (Cookie Cottage); I-195 Exit 3B Hamilton.
I am available days, evenings and Saturdays and offer first appointment availability in 5 days or less. I am in network with Blue Cross and Aetna, and am pleased to provide services under out of network coverage as well. My office is also convenient to Monmouth, Ocean, and Burlington Counties.
