“I am licensed by the state of South Carolina as a Professional Counselor. I have experience in psychotherapeutic treatment of individuals, couples and groups. My areas of specialization include mood disorders i.e., depression, and bipolar disorder; anxiety disorders , i.e., generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, specific phobias, and post traumatic stress disorder. I also see couples who present with difficulty in relationship issues. I received my Masters Degree in Psychology from The Citadel, in Charleston SC, and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina at Coastal.

'Mixed-Gender Mixed-Age Adult' Bipolar Support Groups were held in 2008 at my Office Suite on Anna Knapp. The 'Twenty Something' Bipolar Support Group' began in 2007. The 2009 'Mixed-Gender Mixed-Age Adult' Bipolar Support Group commences August 2009. The 'Twenty Something' Bipolar Support Group' is planned for later in 2009, subject to sufficient numbers. The Twenty Something Bipolar Support Group
First Monday at 6pm - 7:15pm
$30 - $40 per session

Those with bipolar disorder who are in their twenties have life issues that are unique to this age i.e., finishing college, school or job training, dating, individuation from family, etc. This is often a lively group which participants say is both educational, supportive, and fun. NEXT GROUP begins first week August 2009 at 6pm. CALL or EMAIL for details, or to reserve place. Participants of these groups report that it is very helpful to talk to others who have this disorder and to get the education, monitoring, and latest information regarding bipolar disorder.
