When you feel safe and supported, then and only then are you able to let your guard down and get in touch with your core issues and feelings. The most important measure of whether therapy will have a positive outcome is the connection between you and your therapist. For this reason, my goal is to create a warm and supportive environment in which you will be respectfully heard, cared about and not judged in any way. My overall approach is conversational, non-judgemental and solution focused with humor and laughter always welcome :)

The clients I assist are working through various life challenges, including depression, anxiety, fear, relationship difficulties, physical health issues, substance abuse, cyber/sexual addiction, co-dependency and abuse. I take an eclectic approach to client wellness, meaning I will adjust in order to best meet your particular needs.

I have worked in the mental health field for 18 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This has given me the opportunity to work with and treat clients with illnesses ranging from mild to severe. Two areas that hold a special interest are severe mental illnesses and the GLBT population.
