Humor. You may feel stuck, uncertain or nervous about your life right now. While I take this very serious I find that people enjoy being able to talk to a "real" person. From what I hear I'm "real" largely because of my sense of humor. The goal is not to have fun but to find your healthy self. I just believe that being a good clinician doesn't mean you have to be "clinical". Sometimes laughter is the best medicine, or if nothing else, a great vehicle! Let's roll up our sleeves and move forward toward getting better.

I work from a holistic perspective in that I am interested in helping people notice how they have chosen to "be." Everyone has some semblance of spirituality, beliefs (about problems, issues, area's of importance) and actions that are integrated in some way.

My approach is to help you to know yourself in order to enable more healthy decisions for yourself. Primarily I use research in the areas of psychoneurobiology, attachment theory,cognitive behavioral therapy and biblical theology to inform my work with you. Overall I seek to be respectful of your process.
