Healing frees up energy to Live Life more Fully. I specialize in working with people who have experienced chronic verbal abuse and emotionally abusive relationships, domestic violence, crime, and sexual abuse. I assist clients in reducing the negative charge surrounding traumatic life events in order to reduce the power of these events to harm their quality of life. Attention is paid to physical health issues in terms of improving overall well-being and healing physical illnesses associated with excess and chronic stress. I offer Individual and Group Counseling, and have written a workbook: A ToolKit for Healing from Verbally Abusive Relationships.
Healing from trauma is multi-faceted. Healing from abuse returns you to a state of being centered, aligned with your strengths and able to focus. "Old fears" are "de-conditioned" or resolved through a number of techniques: Graduated Desensitization, Breathwork, Focusing, Mindfulness, the Vertical drop, Embracing the Darkness, and the Dive.
I assist clients in identifying unconscious decisions made about life that no longer fit their needs and thereby increasing conscious choices. I engage clients in identity work, which improves self-esteem and increases awareness of personal resources available for achieving goals. I also teach how to set Verbal Boundaries.

HEALING FREES UP ENERGY TO LIVE LIFE MORE FULLY -Noreen Wedman, M.S. Emotionally Abusive Relationships are different from normal relationships - There is a pattern of verbal & other psychological abuse that is chronic. To live with an emotionally abusive person is to live with chronic stress. Not only does it wear on your self-esteem and productivity, but you may experience problems with depression, anxiety, and your physical health may suffer. The development of children with Verbally Abusive Parents can be affected. Your abuser may have a personality disorder. Verbally Abusive Relationships are complex and recovery requires a comprehensive strategy.
