Emotional health is as important as physical health. When life becomes overwhelming and relationships unsatisfying, we may feel stuck and out-of-sync. This is the time when therapy can help by exploring thoughts, behaviors, and roles we hold in life that shape our emotional experience with self and others. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist my approach is to see clients in a holistic context, considering all aspects that impact a person's experience and create emotional distress. Together with each client I work to build on strength, achieve identified goals, and improve lives through effective changes.

It is my philosophy that each person has the strength to develop solutions to a problem, achieve personal growth, and reclaim emotional balance and joy in life when nurtured in the therapeutic process. While the thought of change may initially create uncomfortable feelings, the experience of change can be liberating.

Drawing from an eclectic theory base, including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, psychodynamic approaches, I also use Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing which can produce rapid positive changes with a variety of problems. My specialties include improving life strategies and self-esteem, family and relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, recovery from trauma.
