Throughout life, we try to create a healthy life for ourselves and our families. We are devoted to the important tasks of fostering a meaningful career, finding someone to love, establishing financial security, nurturing healthy relationships, and caring for the needs of our children. Even though we try to do our best, life presents us with roadblocks. Moving ahead can be especially difficult for people with histories of trauma, neglect, and abuse. The good news is that collaborating with a professional can help you and your children walk toward a deeper sense of peace, hope, and spiritual well-being.

At the Samaritan Center, I see adults, couples, adolescents, and children for psychotherapy. I also administer IQ tests (ages 3-17) to help identify gifted children and adolescents. I specialize in treating trauma, relationships issues, anxiety, loss, LGBT issues, and the emotional needs of gifted children and adolescents.

Among other therapeutic modalities, I frequently utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which was designed to give people practical ways to manage intense emotions, negotiate difficult relationships, and stop addictive behaviors. For more about DBT, my approach to couples issues, and other areas of my practice, please visit my website.
