If you recently ended a relationship, changed or lost a job, moved or went through any other significant life changes, you may find yourself having a hard time adjusting to the new situation. You may feel disoriented, anxious, or hopeless. I specialize in helping people with life transitions.
I specialize in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and psychoanalysis. DBT focuses on changing negative behaviors and thought patterns whereas psychoanalysis helps you explore and understand emotional conflicts and patterns.
For the past several years, I've been a therapist in the Psychiatry Department at Columbia University Medical Center. I am also a certified psychoanalyst and have a part-time private practice. I offer treatment both in English and in German.
