I work with individuals and couples on issues around self-esteem, depression, anxiety, addiction, parenting issues and interpersonal conflicts. In listening I pay careful attention to the nature of each person's narrative which includes the difficulties as well as the strivings, so as to help clarify and define the personal meanings of the conflicts and the emotional and behavioral patterns that have been obstacles to realizing a better life.

I have had specific training and experience in working with couples and feel passionate about the possibilities in this work. My career as a professional violinist informs my ability to work creatively and with creative people ( in realizing their aspirations, with performance anxiety) I also supervise new and experienced therapists.

My style is interactive and warm. I focus on the here and now with an interest in the past only as it relates to the present. I believe the relationship between us must feel comfortable so that we are able to explore whatever feels compelling for the patient.
