I work with clients having a wide diversity of issues -- trauma, depression, anxiety, dissociative disorders, addiction, relationship and family issues. I work with clients of all ages. The arts are especially powerful with kids and teens, but adults benefit from expressive arts therapy as well. The arts have tremendous healing power. I view the therapeutic process through the lens of the rite of passage. The pain and difficulties in our lives are challenges, creating opportunities for us to grow and change. I'm especially interested in bringing therapy to men and adolescent boys, who are under-served by traditional therapy.

I specialize in expressive arts therapy, integrating all the arts (music, drama, poetry, dance, sculpture, masks, etc) into the therapeutic process. No artistic talent or skill is necessary. We focus on the process, in a high-sensitivity, low-skill, judgment-free environment. Of course, we also talk during our sessions.

My arts-based, rites-of-passage approach provides a non-pathologizing framework for healing, growth and transformation. I believe that everything you need is already within you, longing for liberation. My role is to help you discover and nurture your own potential for a rich and satisfying life.
