“In my private practice, I see adults, couples and children. My focus is on issues of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, anger, gender identity, communication, impulsiveness, parenting and post traumatic stress disorder. A little about me: After obtaining my MA degree from JFK University, I earned an EdD degree at Argosy University, doing doctoral research on the influence of guilt and shame on gender dysphoric individuals. Besides my private practice, I also work in an elementary school setting, counseling at-risk severely emotionally disturbed children.
My style blends real life experience, knowledge, humor and compassion. My approach includes relational, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral styles, offering a flexible, responsive, non-authoritarian and empathetic quality. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the World Professional Association for Transgemder Health (WPATH).
Edward Moore Kennedy, Jr., at his father's memorial service said, "My father taught me that even our deepest and most profound losses are survivable." I heartily endorse his words.”
