I'M A LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST in private practice in San Anselmo and Vallejo, CA where I work with adults, couples and children for self-esteem problems, anger, sexuality issues, depression, anxiety, impulsivity and post-traumatic stress symptoms and I provide clinical supervision for interns. I also have a specialty in gender identity issues and the dysphoric feelings, grief and loss, relationship difficulties and other issues that often accompany these conditions. My style blends real life experience, knowledge, humor and compassion. My approach includes relational, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral styles, offering a flexible, responsive, non-authoritarian and empathetic quality.

Confused about your gender and looking for a therapist you won't need to educate? I have 10 years experience working with transgender individuals, devoted to helping people recover from wounds inflicted by the ignorance of others, supporting them to discover a life that is right for them.

I offer counseling for those transitioning or not, including gender variant children, adolescents and parents. I'm a member of the CA Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). Confidential sessions are available either in person or video teleconferencing for CA residents.
