Counseling solutions begin with you feeling understood and end with you feeling liberated. To that end, I offer information, strategies and support for relieving depression, coping with bipolar disorder, managing anxiety, healing from trauma, and enriching your relationships. My first priority is to help you feel and function better by addressing the issues you identify as most distessing. My style is collaborative, compassionate and based on mutual respect. You can expect to be offerred effective treatment options. You have the right to accept or reject those options as you see fit. Your dignity and right to self-determinatinon are always respected.

I have a special interest in helping people heal from the trauma of domestic violence and childhood abuse. Many feel they are bad to the bone, deserve a bad life and they can never feel whole again. Healing begins with being heard, believed and supported in the telling of your story.

I offer a progressive approach that keeps you in charge of what you will do, how much you take on, the pace of the work and how far you will go. It is a phased approach with the goal of resolving or minimizing the underlying causes of emotional and behavioral distress.
