Jane McCampbell

I work with both individuals and couples and specialize in treating anxiety, phobias and trauma (including PTSD), relational and sexual issues. My clients include those suffering the after-effects of physical, sexual, emotional and spiritual abuse inflicted when they were children, and adult children of narcissistic, shaming or critical parents. I also treat clients who have suffered traumatic events as adults, including veterans returning from warzones and people involved in muggings, car crashes, assaults and other life-threatening incidents. I also work with phobias - from fear of the dentist to fear of vomiting (emetephobia) - and see I couples for relational concerns.

I draw from the perspectives of attachment and family systems theories, believing that dysfunctions are found in relational patterns that come down the generational line. My most typical form of treatment is EMDR - an extremely effective process for treating trauma, shame and anxiety (see my website for a more detailed explanation).

I am originally from London, England and came to the US in 2002. Therapy is my second career following 17 years in business.
