Hello and welcome! I started SF Creative Therapy to help individuals overcome relationship, grief and trauma issues with a creative approach. This allows negative or problem situations to transform into positive solutions. I am a certified grief specialist and also work with pet loss, cancer survival and healing from painful break-ups. I enter each therapy session with sincerity and compassion and will work with you to develop a plan for reaching your goals. If you are experiencing pain from a relationship or situation, I encourage you to call or e-mail to set up an appointment to talk further.

I have found that positive solutions can be found by using creative methods, and grief and trauma can be overcome. If issues are worrying you and keeping you up at night, a creative approach can help bypass the 'thinking' brain and access images that support change.

I lead monthly workshops on cultivating attention and awareness through mindulness as well as group psychotherapy. Sign up today on my website to receive free announcements of upcoming therapy groups and workshops that are happening at SF Creative Therapy. I look forward to hearing from you.

Tara Cronin also hosts the following groups:

12 week Grief Recovery Program
301 Chenery Street, San Francisco, California
Every Monday, Thursday at 7pm - 8:30pm
$40+ per session

While grief is normal and natural, most of the information passed on within our society about dealing with grief is not normal, natural or helpful. Grief is the emotional response to loss but most of the information we have learned about dealing with loss is intellectual and often referred to as 'trauma' rather than naming the loss that has actually been suffered. There are 43 different types of losses, from losing a loved one, to job loss, divorce, break ups and more. The grief recovery group will identify incomplete loss and help the griever complete the pain caused by loss.

Intern/Trainee Process Group
301 Chenery Street, San Francisco, California
Every Tuesday at 6:30pm - 8pm
$30+ per session

The process of becoming a psychotherapist is a task of learning and of courage. Feelings of anxiety or fear may be evoked along the way, along with personal history issues. As a therapist learns the 'craft of therapy', feelings of doubt may arise as well as feelings of confusion about personal and professional identity. In the Intern Process Group, these issues and others will be discussed to help propel the intern forward and allow the entrance into being a therapist be a process that is awake and aware.
