Stress, self-consciousness, sadness, fear -- they're part of being human. But if these feelings are becoming so overwhelming that they're affecting your well-being or your relationships, I can be a supportive ally on your way toward healing and balance. In working with clients facing depression, anxiety, eating disorders and body image issues, trauma, abuse, and life changes, my role is that of an insightful collaborator. Together, we can explore your core beliefs and attitudes, boost your self-esteem, figure out what's holding you back, and brainstorm strategies that will propel you toward your most fulfilling life.
I love working with adults, teens, couples and kids using humor, authenticity, warmth, and openness. With my background as a writer and performer, I also understand the struggles of those who choose a creative career (rejection, performance anxiety, uncertainty, procrastination, loneliness, relationship ruptures, paying the rent -- sound familiar?).
Through co-facilitating an eating disorder support/education group and researching links between traumatic experiences and body image issues, I've gained a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection. I'm honored to help clients work toward banishing the burden of 'perfection' in exchange for balance and fulfillment.
