My approach to therapy is about learning to exist in the present moment and to make space for whatever is there, including painful thoughts and feelings. I will help you to gently turn toward, rather than away from unwanted experiences so that you can courageously face your challenges head on. You will learn valuable skills in therapy and practice them throughout the week to enhance our work. We will clarify your freely chosen values to determine the direction you want your life to head and create strategies and committed actions that will bring you closer to your true self.
Mindfulness is not just my therapeutic framework, it describes who I am as a therapist and as a human being. Being mindful in my relationships with others helps me to better attune and empathize with them every step of the way, which is essential to being effective as a therapist.
