Mr. Stephen McDonnell

I work with couples and individuals in couples counseling and psychotherapy. My approach is collaborative, interactive, engaged, to be "in it with you." I believe that core and primary emotions, when explored and shared in a safe environment with a secure other, can achieve the transformation we desire--toward relief, confidence, an expanded sense of self, authenticity, happiness, peace, joy, meaning and depth, satisfaction, openness and nurturing, loving relationships.

I am an EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) therapist for couples and individuals (don't worry about acronyms): we explore emotion and connection; therapy is experiential and dynamic. I have over 15 years of clinical experience; my specialties serve your needs and our professional relationship.

I have joked: clients come with relationship or emotional problems, but leave starting their own businesses or following their wildest dreams. I trust in the Self, the deepest, truest part of ourselves, under our defended natures. I have witnessed the universe cooperating, as we listen and act from this core.
