“I believe that, as human beings, we long for a sense of wholeness, that the drive to heal ourselves and each other is strong. My goal is to work with you to restore balance, peace and hope. I want to help you discover your strengths and learn the skills needed to combat, anxiety, depression, and conflicted relationships. My life experience helps focus our work to be efficient and effective.

Donna Maso LCSW Counseling St Augustine, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Saint Augustine
“Therapy and counseling can provide relief and personal growth for people seeking positive changes in their lives. It is helpful, especially during difficult times, to have an objective, compassionate professional who will focus on your strengths and abilities using solution-focused brief counseling in a confidential and non-judgmental environment. Most people go through some difficult periods, and it has been my experience that individuals can benefit greatly from outside help as they work through life's challenges. Counseling offers people the opportunity to explore and understand the nature of their concerns, and quickly move toward positive change and happier lives.

“Working together as a team to develop skills as the means of improving the quality in daily activities is the success of counseling. Being open and honest with self allows an individual to grow emotionally while finding healthier alternatives to less useful ways of past. Life is a journey which can have bumps along the way. As a team we can meet the individual's goals and needs.

“The ideal would be one like a nurse with considerable anxiety about taking her nursing written exam. Because she was also suffering from depression, from a marital separation, her ability to study was being negatively affected. I treated her with EMDR to reduce the intensity of the loss. It was successful, and she was able to start studying again. I treated her with hypnosis and behavioral relaxation skills to deal with her test performance anxiety and the client passed. I do well with traumas from the past using EMDR, and anxiety using cognitive behavioral skills along with hypnosis.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
“Making the decision to enter counseling is a positive step in working toward enhancing the quality of your life. When it comes to actually finding a therapist I believe it's important to remember that 'one size' definitely doesn't fit all. If you're experiencing anxiety, disturbing memories, a sense of guilt, shame or regret, feeling emptiness or just can't seem to remember the last time you laughed or life seemed to mean something it may be difficult to imagine that someone would offer you genuine respect and compassion in a setting that encourages tears, laughter and self-acceptance.

Rebekah A Bell, Counselor in Saint Augustine
“Experiencing difficulties with your teenage son or daughter? Having trouble getting along with your spouse, partner, family member, boss or co-worker? Maybe you're thinking about making a major life change or lack direction as to where you're headed next. Perhaps you're constantly surrounded by a lot of people, but feel very alone. Whatever issue you're facing right now, life can easily seem unmanageable from time to time.
