My practice specializes in treating adults and adolescents with depression, confidence concerns, anxiety, and weight loss goals. My approach is integrative, pulling from different models to best suit your needs. We will work together to identify goals that will enhance your life and address areas that may be holding you back. My active approach is focused on learning about the way you think to change the way you feel and what you do. I like to think of it as being a 'detective' of your mind. My ultimate goal is to help you learn how to be your own therapist.
I am drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy due to its active, hands-on nature offering tools to help outside of therapy. CBT is one of the most researched effective types of therapy for various problems. I am a Gottman trained couple's therapist shown to be one of the most effective modalities of couple's treatment geared towards skill building.
