What I do in my counseling is to help people chart a new course for themselves based on who they are now - a course that will take them where they truly want to go, more effortlessly, more quickly.
I assist clients develop well being, utilizing their own internal resources. My specialty is depression/anxiety, but because people who suffer from depression & anxiety usually have an underlying cause, I help people take control of their lives to better meet the challenges, transitions, etc, emphasizing their strengths, not pathology.
I offer grief work for pet loss, something that is very painful for people who have lost their best friend. The human-animal bond is continually being researched because of the special relationship between pets & their owners. I have a special section on my website dealing with this issue.
