I offer pragmatic and solution-focused counseling for people suffering from anxiety, depression and learning challenges. I use cognitive behavioral therapy in combination with other approaches to help people of all ages feel more confident, happy and focused so they can have better relationships and perform better at work or in school. My approach helps people to think about problems more effectively and discover ways to modify their actions so they are both more comfortable and more effective in and outside the home.
Many children and adolescents experience emotional or behavioral challenges; I work with both parents and their children to strengthen the home environment in ways that foster and promote success. Similarly, adults can find stress or emotional upheaval interfering with their work and family life; I focus on ways to help them manage difficult emotional situations.
Counseling reduces stress, strengthens relationships and promotes increased success at school and work. With a solution-focused approach, clients set reasonable goals for a realistic time frame. Short-term results promote long-term happiness.
