I believe we have the innate ability to heal our selves. We all have times when we feel separate, disconnected and unworthy. This can cause stress, frustration, anger, vulnerability, isolation, confusion, and being overwhelmed by life. We often need a light at the end of the tunnel to navigate through the confusion and gain perspective. My role is a guide on this personal journey to assist with that perspective and gain self acceptance. My work is an integration of my background in yoga, Buddhist practices and somatic movement that I call "Integrative Yoga Counseling".
Integrative Yoga Counseling is a mind-body approach to wellness. Individual sessions integrate yoga techniques of mindfulness, body awareness, breathing exercises, simple movements, restorative poses, and guided relaxation, into talk therapy sessions. These practices allow the individual to increase insight and awareness for greater well being and healing.
The stories we hold, can keep us stuck in false beliefs. I hold the philosophy that goodness is our essential nature and there is never anything inherently wrong with us. It is as if we have amnesia of the soul. I offer tools to help you remember your true nature.
