During my years of practice, I have worked with diverse patient populations. Issues of expertise include survivors of sexual abuse,relationship stressors and conflicts, chronic mental illness, mood and anxiety disorders,issues arising among those in recovery, and problems resulting from stress in the workplace.
As a clinician trained at The Institute for Human Identity, New York City's first treatment facility devoted to the mental health of Gay and Lesbian persons, and Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis,I am aware that empathy alone is not sufficient to address the needs of individuals and groups.
