Abra Poindexter

For 13 years, my passion has been exploring the healing that comes from healthy therapeutic relationships. My psychotherapy practice addresses issues of trauma, mental health, gender and sexual orientation issues, and relationship issues. I welcome work with individuals, couples and families. My previous work included directing the Wellspring Program at The Salvation Army which afforded me direct experience in understanding the impact of sex trade/prostitution on individuals in our community. Additionally, I worked with Uta Halee Girls Village for nine years, building my experience with adolescents and families impacted by trauma and addiction.

My post-graduate training is in Feminist Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Trauma Recovery, Gender and Orientation issues, Jungian Psychotherapy, and Addictions. I consult and educate about sex trade, mental health, and trauma. I served on the executive committee for the Omaha Friends of Jung and have volunteered for the HelpHer Giving Circle.
