Mr. Albert 'butch' Hovis

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) in clinical social work, and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). Through my training, internships, and continuing education in mental health,addictions' treatment, aging process, and parent/family therapy, I have developed a keen interest in serving each individual according to their inner strength and goals. Over the years, I have branched out from psychodynamic theory to the use of mindfulness meditation insights. I believe that this has made me better suited to hear a client's deepest concerns.

I continue to be approached by persons with varying forms of anxiety, from posttraumatic stress to body based issues. Often these issues have affected relationships and the development of addictions. Persons struggling with such experiences need an open, non-judgemental hearing and assurance that both hope and emotinal balance are possible for them.

My life experience in many areas of our world has helped me to gain a perspective about human beings from all walks of life and cultures. Each is worthy of respect. All who seek help should find it. I try to help!
