Dr. Abbassi is an expert in couple's communication and sexual issues. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist(LMFT),Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and approved Supervisor for LPC and LMFT. He works with individual (children, adolescents and Adults)in the area of depression, anxiety and general life difficulties. Dr. Abbassi has been in private practice for over 15 years. As an Associate Professor, Dr. Abbassi teaches and provides supervision to Counseling Interns at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He is a Clinical Member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and a preferred provider for most insurance panels.

From a brief Cognitive Behavioral approach, he is able to investigate the nature of couple's difficulty and coach them on effective way of communication as well as helping the individuals to have insight to their life difficulties and understanding the cognitive errors that they introduce to their thinking process.

As Clinical Member of American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Dr. Abbassi is an expert in investigating dynamic of couple's relationship in order to help them get along better. He offers sliding scale fee schedule for those who need assistance.
