People seek counseling for many different reasons. Individuals or couples that come see me say how relieved they feel from just starting the counseling process. Many people come see me to help repair or improve a marriage or relationship. Some people come to get support during or after a loss in their life. Others come to help get better coping tools to manage stress and anxiety. While others come to learn how to manage and overcome symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder or other mental and medical issues. Whatever the reason, contact me so we can discuss how I can help.
I specialize in working with couples. When working with couples, I recommend scheduling a 90 minute session, every other week. For individuals, I recommend weekly sessions initially. This summer 2012, I am opening up extended Monday and Friday hours to accommodate those with a summer flex schedule.
Call or e-mail at amy@sunstonecounselors.com if you would like to schedule an appointment. Please feel free to ask questions about how I can help you. Email is the easiest way to contact me but you can also call me on my cell number- 703-606-7957.
