Mrs. Amy Hughes

I realize beginning therapy can be very difficult. I believe that a large portion of therapy is about your rapport with your therapist and I strive to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible. Through the past several years I have been serving children, adolescents and adults in various therapeutic settings. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and I have a Masters in Social Work (MSSW). I believe my professional experience, education and personal life experiences help me to be a caring and effective therapist.

I have felt privileged to work with so many different people during their times of struggle and change. Depression, anxiety (including OCD), marriage/relationship issues, addictions and eating disorders are some of the areas in which I have the most experience.

I believe in focusing on the solution while exploring the problem as well as building a strong therapeutic relationship so we may work together. I feel setting clear, realistic goals along with providing a safe, caring and supportive environment is essential to overcoming obstacles and uncovering personal strength in therapy.
