I provide a safe and supportive environment to help clients explore new approaches to ongoing life challenges. My optimistic and caring style support self growth and empowerment. Part of my role as a therapist is to help my clients establish realistic goals that bring about positive change. I have been working with teens and adults for over 20 years. I have worked in local high schools and the County of San Mateo with both teens and adults. Some techniques I use suggest that our thoughts affect how we behave. Therefore, if we work on more positive self talk, we may notice changes in our overall mood and behavior.
I work with teens to help support the stressors they face in high school and work together to build self esteem and self care. Because the transition to adulthood can be particularly challenging for teens, I enjoy the journey of preparing teens emotionally for the next chapter of their lives.
Mental health is an important part of our ongoing self care to help navigate life transitions. Taking the steps to form a relationship with a neutral person can help give you new tools. I hope to offer a better quality of life for my clients and a space that allows them to explore areas they are open to working on.
