I believe that positive growth and change occur in the context of healthy relationships and that the relationship that one has with oneself is of paramount importance. Counseling is an avenue for better understanding oneself as well as oneself in relationship with others.

I have experience working with individuals of all ages on issues such as behavioral problems, sexual abuse, self-esteem, relationship issues, identity issues, anxiety and stress management. I have several years of experience working with families on issues such as domestic violence, substance abuse, teen behavior and parenting and discipline.

In my group work I use therapeutic drumming and I am a Certified Therapeutic Drumming instructor (through Youth Villages). I co-facilitate a support group for parents going through divorce. While I am not fluent in Spanish, I have worked with Hispanic individuals and my language skills are functional.

Taking the first step toward getting help is often the most difficult
