Easy Access

Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders also hosts the following groups:

EDA "Dinner and a Meeting" Group
Moore Institute, 4126 Autumn Lane, Cahaba Heights, Alabama
Every Monday at 7pm - 8pm

Eating Disorders Anonymous (EDA) is a fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from their eating disorders. The only requirement for participation is a desire to recover from an eating disorder. Participants meet for each week for dinner (optional) to practice dining together in a supportive environment. Dinner is followed by an EDA meeting, usually facilitated by our Clinical Director, Dr. Nicole Siegfried. The group is free

Community Family Support Group
Moore Institute, 4126 Autumn Lane, Cahaba Heights, Alabama
Every other Thursday at 6pm - 7pm

Those who have a loved one struggling with an eating disorder can often feel helpless and alone. That doesn't have to be the case. Our community Family Support group strives to empower family members and friends with the education and support they need to reach out to a loved one affected by an eating disorder. The group meets every other week and is led by our Family Therapist, Anna Stanley. The group is free.

After Care Therapy Group
Moore Institute, 4126 Autumn Lane, Cahaba Heights, Alabama
Every Tuesday at 6pm - 7:30pm

Transitioning from treatment can be one of the most difficult times in recovery. Magnolia Creek is committed to providing support and care not only for alumnae of our programs, but also for graduates of other treatment programs who wish to connect with others in recovery. Led by clinical psychologist, Dr. Chebon Porter, our After Care group meets each week to provide a supportive forum for sharing post-treatment experiences and encourage participants to take charge of their recovery. The group is free.
