Dr. Bruce Nelson

Psychologist , PhD

(952) 373-0505
Over the course of twenty years as a practicing psychologist, my compassion for the challenges and complexities of life has deepened, and I appreciate the fears associated with change. My approach to therapy emphasizes meeting people where they are at and creating a collaborative treatment plan. Alongside an orientation of optimism and resilience, I stress new-skill development and the incorporation of personal strengths.
I see children, teens, and adults, and treat a wide variety of problems. Areas of expertise include anxiety-based problems, such as panic attacks, phobias, and obsessive-compulsiveness, and ADHD assessment and treatment. I work regularly with parents and their children/teens regarding school, self-esteem, underachievement, and motivational difficulties.
